I created a promotional poster focused on an event surrounding the Cincinnati entertainer Bootsy Collins. I embodied Collins entertainment style and personality through imagery and abstract typography.
Research
I looked at Bootsy Collins life and performance style to get a good understanding of the artist. I found that bold out of the box ideas are what he is known for.
I did a series of word mapping, benchmarking, and hierarchy/typeface studies to move my ideas forward.
